Hearse Play!
Recently our office admin Thomasina was attempting to photograph one of our hearses to use for a postcard when she had a spooky experience. Its seems as if our hearse resident FRANKIE wanted to “hearse around” with our new employee and show her he was king of the hearse! First she couldn’t gain access to the hearse by using the set of keys; then she was not able to lock the doors after she photographed the inside of the vehicle. Each time that she attempted to photograph the loading door area (caskets) the door would slam shut on her! Its a good thing that she was pretty quick otherwise that heavy door would have had her laid out flat in the loading area (caskets). New Ghostly Encounter at Miss Caroline's Inn
Recently there was a new paranormal experience which involved a young guest on the tour while at Miss Caroline’s Inn. The guide of the evening was Maria who has been with us for one year. During Maria’s ghostly account of past incidents at the inn, the guest who was a young woman in her 20’s was seen shivering as the group neared the entry stairway. What caused the young miss’s shivering was an entity of a young woman dressed in white and in her early 20’s. The entity was seen by the stairway. What we are guessing is that the sudden occurrence was triggered by something that the young woman had in common with the ghost. Wow — another great experience!
Welcome Valerie to Ghost Augustine
We are happy to welcome Valerie as our newest tour guide. Valerie has many years of experience working as an Everglades tour guide and, now that she has joined us here at GhoSt Augustine, instead of wrestling alligators she’ll be wrestling ghosts! The extra creepy thing is that she is also an attorney! You’ll soon be able to Enjoy the REHEARSAL video of Valerie using the K-II meter that was spiked by a ghost, while we were in Miss Lily’s bedroom at the St. Francis Inn. You can experience a tour with Valerie on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Haunted Pub Tour Guide Needed
Attention GhoSt Augustine Fans and friends of the Paranormal! GhoSt Augustine is currently hiring for the busy season. We are looking for an enthusiastic person for our Haunted Pub Tour. Part time evening work, especially weekends to take guests around our haunted city to hear the history and ghost stories of some of the haunted pubs here in St. Augustine. Stop by our sister store Beerhammers Thursday through Monday between 11am and 4pm and fill out an application. We are needing someone asap so stop by and introduce yourself. We are located inside of Heritage Walk Mall at 162 St. George St. St. Augustine, Florida.
Ghostly Occurances on the GhoSt Augustine Original Hearse Rides
Recently on GhoSt Augustine’s Original Hearse Ride a guest was touched while visiting Miss Caroline’s Haunted Inn. Our tour guide Maria brought her guests inside the famously haunted inn when one of the women was touched on her arm. Needless to say the guest was a little spooked but loved the first hand experience. You never know what might happen in St. Augustine while on one of GhoSt Augustine’s Ghost Tours.
Ghostly Experience at Miss Caroline's Inn
The most recent ghostly activity we have had here at GhoSt Augustine was actually at one of the stops on our Original Hearse Ride, Miss Caroline’s. We are in the middle of a film project and were filming at the famously haunted inn when we decided to take a short break and get away from the bright lights. When we returned to Capt. Kennedy’s room, where we were filming, the spots lights that we had turned off before leaving were on! No one had been in the room, we were the only two people in the inn and no one had snuck in. GhoSt Augustine’s Original Hearse Ride enters the building almost every night and is one of the most popular stops on the tour. Join us one night and see what kind of ghostly activity you might have.

9:15pm Hearse Ride Very Active!
Last night, March 3rd, 2012’s 9:15pm Hearse Ride was full of paranormal activity! While we were at the St. Augsutine lighthouse I mentioned how the little girls like to interact with the K2 EMF Meter. What do you know, the meter started to light up answering the questions. Fantastic responses from the ghostly children who are still hanging out at the lighthouse. Then later while we were visiting Miss Caroline’s we had activity from little Molly who actually played with her toy doll while we were in her room. The children very very active last night and everyone had a fantastic time!
Tariqa welcomes new hearse driver Dan Bracewell
Tina’s last Original Hearse Ride tour went out with a real bang! Tina and our 1974 hearse Tariqa, decided to let Dan drive the hearse for Tina’s final tour. As soon as Dan went to open the door on the 1974 beauty, the door was locked. Dan tried and tried and could not unlock the hearse. He ended up having to enter through the passenger side door and crawl across the front seat to do the tour… but for the entire 1.5 hour tour! Was this Tariqa’s way of welcoming Dan and letting know she will miss Tina? Who knows but the door is working fine now! GhoSt Augustine wants to welcome Dan to our ghostly family!
