We want to thank Christopher Pitcher for sending us this photo after attending GhoSt Augustine’s Original Hearse Ride here in St. Augustine. Tina's St. Francis Inn Experience

I just had to tell you about what happened on both the 9:15 and the 11:30 GhoSt Augustine Hearse Ride the other night! Both events happened at the St Francis house. My first tour group was at the St. Francis Inn around 10:30 last night. I was telling the story of Ms. Elizabeth when a gentleman on the tour’s cell phone began to ring. I ignored the interruption and continued on with the story. He walked away from the group and kept saying “hello, hello, hello” There was no one on the other end of the call. So he excused himself. He came back to the group with a look of confusion on his face. He asked if we all heard his phone ring. Of course we did mutter a guest. The call came from his son’s number. Concerned there was something…

Ghostly Encounter @ GhoSt Augustine's Gift Shop

Genovar Opera House was located at 121 St. George St. which is now known as 123 St. George St.  Now as you see it, it is a small hallway of quaint little shops where our GhoSt Augustine Gift Shop is located. Back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, before the 1914 fire, it was a 3 story building featuring the ground floor full of different stores, and fabulous Shoe Gallery was located on the 3rd floor, but on the 2nd floor was the Genovar Opera House.  Tyrone Power Sr. had his acting debut here at the Genovar in November 1886 and Frederick Douglas spoke to a crowd of over 700 people in 1889. The building that housed the Genovar Opera House burned on the April 2, 1914 fire which started in the Florida House and was allegedly caused by…

Introducing Andy, Haunted Pub Tour Guide

My name is Andy, and I came to Saint Augustine about three years ago. Since 2001 I have been interested in the paranormal. Here is what started it all. My father had passed and when doing the unpleasant task of going through his personal effects I found his “dog tags”. He was a veteran of WWII. When I touched them my whole arm from fingertip to shoulder went numb. I have heard stories of this happening and did not believe them. I do now. I also have seen him sitting in his favorite lawn chair in the back yard. I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church. I have a degree in metaphysics and am a tarot reader. Looking forward to seeing you on one of our tours! ~Andy GhoSt Augustine Haunted Pub Tour Guide

Take a ride to the south side of St. Augustine and over to the world famous St. Augustine lighthouse in a haunted hearse. Here the ghostly tales as you ride through the dark narrow streets of the nations oldest city. Make sure you bring your cameras because you never know what you may capture while on a ghost tour in St. Augustine. Thanks again, Becky for sending us the photo!!

Phone Call…from the hearse?!

One night 3 of our GhoSt Augustine tour guides and myself were standing around our 1974 Hearse, Tariqa. We were just discussing the tours, the paranormal events, and of course the hearses. The hearse driver that evening was Brandy and she had her personal things setting inside the hearse, including her cell phone.  We finished our conversation of about 20 minutes and all went our separate ways when Tina, another hearse driver called Brandy. She was like “Sorry I missed your call, what’s up?” Brandy was a little confused and asked Tina what the heck she was talking about. Tina said, “You called me three times!” Brandy told Tina how she had been standing around talking and her phone was in the car. They both started laughing and realized, duh! The phone was inside the hearse, apparently Tariqa called Tina…

Interesting Photo From Our Hearse Ride

Recently one of our GhoSt Augustine Hearse Ride guests, David Buck, took a photo of our 1974 hearse (known as Tariqa) during the ghost tour and captured a fascinating paranormal mist. Tariqa is known to be a very haunted hearse!! Thank you so much, David, for sending it to us.

GOOD AND EVIL AND THE USE OF ENERGY By: Dr. Harry Staffford

Creating dichotomies splits reality where it cannot be split, and establishes conflict of energies where integration of energies is what is needed. Fragmentation happens, and it always creates problems. The problems, however, are not solved by codifying the fragmentation as a permanent condition. “Evil” is not a cosmic force of permanent standing alongside an equally separate good. This literalizing creates a duality that blinds you to the nature of energy and its proper use. Consciousness, deriving from the Divine always, is good. When you do not understand its true nature, or become forgetful of its source, you fragment that which cannot be permanently, or finally fragmented. If you believe in a reified, permanent evil you cannot understand the essential goodness of consciousness or energy. What we call the “shadow” side is the unintegrated aspect of your own consciousness. The shadow…

My Ghost Story on Biography Channel

I just want to say thank you for a fantastic job to GhoSt Augustine’s hearse driver Tina Verduzco and Founder Jonas Brihammar for their appearance on My Ghost Story on A&E’s Biography Channel last night (April 16th, 2011). The episode featured GhoSt Augsutine at the extremely haunted and world famous St. Augustine Lighthouse. Our Original Hearse Ride and Total Paranormal Tours feature a stop at the lighthouse and hear all the ghostly tales that have become so widely popular. We are the original Hearse Ride, Haunted Pub Tour, and Haunted St. Augustine Investigative Tour.  Awesome job guys!!! ~Jamie Roush Manager

Interesting Photo from GhoSt Augustine's Hearse Ride

This photo was recently taken by one of our guests on GhoSt Augustine’s Hearse Ride, the Original Hearse Ghost Tour in St. Augustine. Becky Allen took this photo at St. Augustine’s National Cemetery. It almost appears like there is a dark shadow figure near one of the headstones in the back of the photo. You never know what you may encounter when visiting a cemetery in a haunted hearse!
