Ghost Augustine at New Orleans ParaCon 2026: Paranormal Friends, New Faces & One Very Lucky Winner!

We may be based in the nation’s oldest city, but that doesn’t mean we stay in St. Augustine all the time!

This summer, the Ghost Augustine team packed up and headed to New Orleans for New Orleans ParaCon 2026, and what a weekend it was.

ParaCon brought together paranormal investigators, enthusiasts, authors, psychics, creators and fans from all over—and we were thrilled to be there representing Ghost Augustine and getting the chance to meet so many wonderful people.

Of course, one of our favorite parts was seeing some of our valued customers and friends again. We also met plenty of new people who stopped by to talk about St. Augustine, paranormal investigations and our tours.

And we had a pretty exciting giveaway at our booth!

While we were at New Orleans ParaCon, we held a raffle for something we’re pretty sure any paranormal enthusiast would love:

The Dixie House is one of the locations we visit during our paranormal experiences, and our Para4ce Investigation gives guests the opportunity to spend two hours investigating this historic and reportedly haunted location.

Meeting Patti Negri

Another highlight of the weekend was getting to meet Patti Negri, the well-known psychic medium and paranormal personality.

It’s always fun when people you’ve seen and followed through the paranormal community become people you actually get to meet in person.

ParaCon gave us plenty of opportunities like that, and we’re grateful for every conversation, photo, story and introduction.

That’s really what makes paranormal events so special.

It’s not just about the equipment or the attractions.

It’s about the people who share the same fascination with the unknown.

One of the things we loved most about ParaCon was introducing people to what we’re doing right here in St. Augustine.

St. Augustine has more than 450 years of history, and that history gives us an incredible backdrop for paranormal experiences.

From historic buildings and old cemeteries to stories of unexplained activity, there is no shortage of places to explore.

And we don’t believe there’s only one way to experience the haunted side of the Ancient City.

Of Course, We Brought Some Ghost Hunting Gear!

If you’ve ever visited one of our tours or investigations, you know we’re serious about paranormal equipment.

We brought some of that equipment along to ParaCon, too!

Ghost Augustine and Ghost Hunters Equipment have a long history of using equipment during investigations, and it was fun talking with other investigators about some of the gear they use.

We had plenty of conversations about spirit boxes, EMF meters, REM-style equipment, SLS cameras and other paranormal investigation tools.

We even had a few conversations about the famous K2 meter and the fact that genuine K2 meters have become increasingly difficult to find.

But for us, equipment is always a tool—not the investigation itself.

What matters is how you use it, how you document your results and how you approach an investigation.

That’s exactly the philosophy we bring to our own paranormal experiences in St. Augustine.

From New Orleans to St. Augustine

One of the best things about attending an event like New Orleans ParaCon is coming home with even more ideas, stories and excitement for what we’re doing here in St. Augustine.

We love St. Augustine.

We love its history.

We love its ghost stories.

And we love giving people the opportunity to experience the city in a way that’s a little different from the usual sightseeing trip.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve lived here for years, there’s always another story to discover.

And sometimes, if you’re lucky, you might experience something that doesn’t have quite such an easy explanation.
